Face to Face 4 2026 Gananoque Arts Network

Noel Bullock Gallery, Gananoque, ON
Annual Portrait Exhibition Opens Sat, Sept 26, 2026

Artist Portia "Po" Chapman holding her mixed media portrait "Meeting Mary," featuring a sunhat made of rope, vibrant floral collage, and dried flowers set against a stone brick wall. — Portia “Po” Chapman holding her portrait submission, Meeting Mary, for the Gananoque Arts Network’s “Face to Face 4” Exhibition at the Noel Bullock Gallery in Gananoque.

This year my whole family participated. We had portrait creation parties. My mom, Kim, was our muse. As a family, we submitted all four portraits to the show. Mom, Kim, drew a self-portrait using pencil crayons. My sister, painted a portrait using only acrylic dots. My dad painted a traditional glamor portrait out of flat acrylics over a textured ripped paper medium. I created this mixed media portrait on Mom in the garden at my Kingston studio. We had a great time being creative as we worked beside each other.
